Mission
THE NAVY LEAGUE MISSION:
ACTIVE-DUTY SUPPORT: Enhance the morale of active duty personnel and their families.
ADVOCACY: Provide a powerful voice to educate the public and Congress on the importance of strong sea services to our nation’s defense, well-being, and economic prosperity.
YOUTH EDUCATION: Support local youth character building programs, such as the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps and Navy Junior ROTC that expose young people to personal growth based on Honor, Courage, and Commitment.
Placer County Council
Placer County Council was chartered by the Navy League in 1956. The Council currently has 120 members in Placer and surrounding counties. Our Key Activities include:

Monthly dinner meetings with speakers to keep us well informed.

Supporting our three adopted units: USS McCAMPBELL (DDG 85), an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer; Naval Health Clinic at Lemoore Naval Air Station, California, and Naval Branch Health Clinic at Naval Air Station, Fallon, Nevada.

Providing awards to California Maritime Academy, Vallejo, Naval Science Department students.

Supporting the Navy JROTC Units at Luther Burbank High School and Yuba City High School.

Supporting the Sacramento Sea Cadets, the Yuba-Sutter Sea Cadets and the Shasta Sea Cadets.

Providing scholarships to students in local schools.

Providing support to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) programs in local schools.
